Dr. K.ANANDA JAYAWARDANE
Executive Director
Dr. Jayawardane functions as the Executive Director of Global Vision-
Centre for Knowledge Advancement. By profession, he is a senior
business leader who counts over 38 years of managerial experience
in Agriculture, Manufacturing and Service sectors, both in Sri Lanka
and overseas. He has worked in both state and private sector organizations
including leading multinationals, holding key positions at functional,
operational and top management levels. His experience covers, a
diverse range of fields such as Corporate & Strategic Planning,
organizational Development, Leadership, Strategic Direction, Team
Working, Communication, Decision Making, Motivation, Creative Thinking
& Innovation , Change Management, Project Development &
Management, Business Development, Business Process Re Engineering,
Re Structuring, Right Sizing, Productivity, Quality Management,
Product Development, Supply Chain Management, Production Management,
Operational Management, Market Development & Marketing Management,
Human Resource Development & Management, Finance Management,
International Business, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Extension/Advisory
Services, Private-Public and Private-Private Partnerships, Monitoring
& Evaluation, Training and Teaching. He has undergone extensive
local and foreign training in these fields.
He has pioneered and provided leadership to several teams engaged
in comprehensive studies on planning, institutionalization, organization
development, project proposals, project development and management,
quality management, technology management, operational management,
research and development, agriculture and agribusiness development,
technology transfer and advisory services.
In addition to his role in Global Vision, Ananda functions as a
Director of six companies in Sri Lanka, which are engaged in Natural
Products, Agriculture, Industrial Intermediates, Environmental Conservation/
Waste Management and Mass Media.
He has also played an active role in several non-profit oriented
organizations in various capacities such as Executive Committee
Member of the National Agri Business Council, President of the Protected
Agricultural Entrepreneurs Association, Member of a National Steering
Committee for Private Sector Involvement in Agricultural Extension
Services and a Club President and a Cabinet Officer of the Lions
International.
Dr. Jayawardane is a B.Sc. (Honours) graduate in Chemistry with
an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Management and a PhD in Entrepreneurship
& Management. He is also a Chartered Chemist, Member of the
Institute of Chemistry- Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Royal Society
of Chemistry, London.
